RAFling Articles

The RAFLing Association is an organisation made up of former and current RAF linguists and associates.  The majority of these members were primarily taught Russian for intelligence purposes during the Cold War, although many went on to be trained as dual and even triple linguists from a selection of languages including German, Polish, Spanish and Chinese. The modern serving equivalents are more likely to study Arabic or Farsi.

Members participate as an officially recognised unit in the annual Remembrance Day Parade at the Cenotaph in London, with at least one yearly reunion being organised at home or overseas.

Regular bulletins are sent out by email, whilst the "RAFLing News" publication - made up of submitted articles - is distributed to members two or three times a year.

The articles and messages repeated here are those submitted to "Rafling News"  by Brian Leonard, commencing late 2018.  The dates quoted are the when the magazine was actually published and sent out to members.
